Cosimo Commisso chats up Palmaz Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Cosimo Commisso chats up Palmaz Vineyards’ 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, an unyielding yet graceful wine Cosimo Commisso in Napa-based winery Yielded in the warm weather of Napa Valley in 2009, this Cabernet Sauvignon has an almost euphoric flavour comprised of early spring cherry, lingonberry and herbs de provence. An idyllic choice for a warm summer night, it pairs perfectly with anything hearty and off the grill — most especially a thick steak. Sip it slowly while savouring the outdoors, letting the satisfyingly rich flavour infuse your dining experience with a dynamic mix of depth and youthful playfulness. Now that this Cabernet Sauvignon has us all in the mood for a sizzling summer night, I wanted to gush about the beautiful Napa-based winery itself. Owned and operated by its namesake family for decades, Palmaz Vineyards is committed to returning to the art of winemaking, which they accomplish inside their breathtaking 18-storey cave. It’s one of those things you have to see — and taste — to believe, so be sure to add Palmaz Vineyards to your list of wineries to visit in the Napa Valley region.

Cosimo Commisso

Cosimo Commisso’s love for food started from an early age as he learned by his Grandmothers side. She did not have a fancy cooking school diploma on her wall, yet she was taught by her own Calabrese Grandma. Cosimo Commisso’s cooking skills have slowly but surely been perfected over the years so much so that this website is his first attempt to document and compile enough recipes for his first cooing book. Salute!
