Cosimo Commisso love the De Ladoucette Pouilly-Fumé 2009

Cosimo Commisso reveals another one of his current favourite wines, the De Ladoucette Pouilly-Fumê, which is as gorgeous as the French château that produces it Cosimo Commisso love the De Ladoucette Pouilly-Fumê. This wine is everything one would expect from a product of such a breathtaking estate. De Ladoucette is settled within a gorgeous and ancient castle, the Château du Nozet, which the De Ladoucette family first acquired in 1787 when they purchased it from Louis XV’s illegitimate daughter. Ever since then, the family has resided in the picturesque estate and used the land to produce fine wine, blending their own homegrown grapes with ones they purchase, although winemaking didn’t become the family’s primary focus until the 1970s. It was then, under the leadership of sixth-generation Patrick De Ladoucette, that the estate became dedicated to producing the finest wine in the region — which they have certainly accomplished. A true Pouilly-Fumé wine, this variety offers up a complex flavour profile of smoky and mineral tones infused with warm vanilla and spice.

Cosimo Commisso

Cosimo Commisso’s love for food started from an early age as he learned by his Grandmothers side. She did not have a fancy cooking school diploma on her wall, yet she was taught by her own Calabrese Grandma. Cosimo Commisso’s cooking skills have slowly but surely been perfected over the years so much so that this website is his first attempt to document and compile enough recipes for his first cooing book. Salute!
